Hope

Song of the Week

Poem

When my hopes fade

And my dreams die.

And I find no answer

I just keep on trusting

And hang on to my faith.

Because God is just

He never makes mistakes.

Should the storms come

And trials I must face.

When I find no solution

I rest in God's grace.

When life seems unfair

And more than I can take.

I look up to the Father

He never makes mistakes.

God sees our struggles

And every bend in the road.

But no mistake is ever made

Cause He weighs every load.

Outdoor activities

Are you running out of ideas of what to do with your time? Being outdoors is a great way to change the scenery of your day and will also help you feel healthier and happier. Here are some outdoor ideas that will hopefully inspire you at this time:

  • If you have a garden, you could order some seeds online and plant some flowers and do some de-weeding!

  • If you have children at home you can create a scavenger hunt with clues in your garden for them with a chocolate egg as a prize at the end.

  • You can go on a walk or run and listen to some great music to lift your spirits.

  • Again if you have a garden you can sit outside when the sun is shining and enjoy a morning coffee, tea or breakfast.

  • You could read a book outside or listen to an audio book while you do some walking/running.

Bible verse and Reflection

Romans 12:12 - Be joyful because you have hope. Be patient when trouble comes, and pray at all times.

This Bible verse is good to reflect on as it draws us to pray at all times for anything. God will always listen to us whatever we have to pray about. Here are some things to help you reflect on this verse:

  1. Sit comfortably and focus on the words on the bible verse, putting all distractions aside.

  2. Read through the verse a few times and let the words help you to focus on the hope you can have in God.

  3. Pray to God for peace in the hardships that you are currently facing.

How to Pray

Pray this prayer if you are feeling hopeless:

"God I am feeling hopeless. Please help me to know peace and joy in my situation. I thank you that I can speak to you about whatever I am feeling and ask for you to give me peace."

Journal tip of the Week

  • Make your journal full of fun pictures and artwork. Journaling doesn't have to be all about the words. Make it your own by using your own style to help you find the process fun! Maybe start with the month and year and make it colourful?
